Boots! One of my favorite topics. I love Frye boots but your dollar signs in place of the "ss" is appropriate. They are pricey ($300-$600) but they will last forever. The "campus boot" was introduced in the 1960's and still sold today. I love the "Carmen" and the "Melissa" styles. One thing to consider is the shaft size (insert a thousand dirty jokes here). I have been "blessed" with runners calves so I go to zappos.com and shop by circumference (more jokes here). Once I find the boot I like I try to get it on eBay or overstocked.com for less than retail.
Steve Madden is another, considerably cheaper, option. My friend, who is a vegan, likes his boots because several styles are faux leather...which I, of course, scoffed at :). But I ended up getting a pair for $50 at Macy's and LOVE them.
Any boot you would recommend...I can't go another fall without a bad a$$ riding boot!
